When I was only six years old my father, who was head gardener of the Bevandene Estate, gave me my very own plot of land to tender. This is where it all began as I started to plant my first few seeds and patiently watch nature take its’ course. Every spare moment throughout my latter school years was spent working in a Rose Nursery and upon leaving school, following the family tradition I duly progressed to train in horticulture for a further 5 years at a local Nursery. It was a natural transition to start my own business. I was then 21 years of age. Over more recent years I have undertaken construction work with numerous garden designers and show gardens including Hampton Court, Syon Park, Westonbirt and the NEC at Birmingham. A recent addition to my team of workers is my son who is already showing signs of the family tradition. |
